Accomplish more, together

The power of intention and mutual support help you live life on your terms

How it all started

In 2020, Groove’s co-founders Sruli Rapps and Josh Greene were both freelancing and started feeling isolated in their work.

With community-oriented backgrounds that ranged from music festivals to meditation to living across borders, Josh and Sruli started to build a space where they could work with others from anywhere — finding inspiration from the communal feel of their favorite coworking spaces or coffee shops.

Enter Groove: short, deep focus online work sessions powered by a supportive community that help you craft a more satisfying, fulfilled day.

How I get into flow

Coffee, breathing, and not giving in to the temptation of checking Whatsapp! Taking a walk between Grooves.

When I'm not working, you'll find me...

Traveling, dancing deafening close to a sound system, working on being my best self, and talking about cats 😺

What I accomplish in Groove

Whether it's prepping my radio show, queuing up social media posts for my music platform, updating my sharable playlists, creating pitches for brands...I use it for anything and everything.

How I get into flow

I jump right in, always with a cold beverage on hand. Even without prior thought/organization, there's nothing like a Groove to get me straight into a good flow.

When I'm not working, you'll find me...

experimenting in my new kitchen and subsequently feeding my friends.

What I accomplish in Groove:

I've utilized the shared experience to motivate me to work on (and complete!) projects, typically involving writing, that I've postponed. (Not to mention short bursts of house cleaning and making Groove-based friends!)

Head of Community @ Groove

How I get into flow

Light a candle, sit by a window, grab something yummy to sip on, write a to-do list, and jam out to indie pop music.

When I'm not working, you'll find me...

Exploring new streets in New York, reading, crafting, meeting new people, or trying new Trader Joe's products.

What I accomplish in Groove:

I write, focus on community outreach, create videos, brainstorm on my whiteboard, and plan my week.

Josh

Co-Founder & CEO @ Groove

How I get into flow

Clear my desk, put on some noise-canceling headphones, and listen to lo-fi beats like Lofi Girl on YouTube.

When I'm not working, you'll find me...

Out in nature or at the beach, reading a biography of a creative or business leader or exploring an experimental meditation practice.

What I accomplish in Groove:

I'm constantly pulled in lots of different directions in my work. Groove is sacred for the important deep work whether creative or strategic. My phone is on do not disturb!

How I get into flow

Two words: Brown. Noise. More words: Anything that helps me focus, because I have severely awesome ADHD and indulge nearly every bird chirp, phone ping, and absurd thought that pops into my head.

When I'm not working, you'll find me...

Doing lots of weird stuff like filming beetles on neighborhood nature walks and putting tiny things into tiny boxes. I'll also be at the movies with my family or cooking my favorite meal for my friends: hamburgers!

What I accomplish in Groove:

I always start my Grooves with 'desk clearing' and they're some of my favorites.

Founder, Team Culture Expert

How I get into flow

Groove has been great for this. Otherwise, I get a cup of tea, create an intention, set my timer, take a deep breath, and go!

When I'm not working, you'll find me...

Taking long walks around my local parks, journaling, or reading.

What I accomplish in Groove:

Planning client workshops, creating structures for presentations, outlining content, and writing my book.
